Trip to Iraq
Hey friends, brothers and sisters in Christ,
We want to kick off this quick note with hearts bursting with thanks for the opportunity God gave us to head out on another trip, bringing member care to missionaries in Iraqi Kurdistan.
In the two weeks we were there, we got to meet with and minister to 26 adults and 18 kids and teens. It was super intense—packed with real, deep talks, counseling, prayer, and just loving on people. Watching the impact of Christ’s love in the life of these people filled us up with joy and fired up our own faith all over again.
None of this could’ve happened without you all. You were literally Jesus’ hands and feet right there with us on this trip, and we would like to say thank you so, so much! You’re a huge, part of this whole care ministry.
As we’re writing this note, Christmas is basically right around the corner. What a perfect time to think about the best gift we’ve ever gotten: the Word who became human and dwelled among us: Jesus, our Emmanuel—God with us—came exactly for people like the ones we visited: tired, hurting, but still full of hope because they know their Saviour.
Our prayer is that this Christmas, the Lord refreshes that joy in every one of you —the joy of knowing He’s right here with us, through the good times and the hard ones, whether you’re in the UK or Kurdistan.
Blessings,
Sandro e Gislene
