MORE THAN JUST A HOME

We hear stories

We share our tears

Let's pray together.

We remain strong.

A break to keep going

Since 2012, we have been walking alongside Brazilian missionaries serving in different parts of the world.

Our desire is to provide a place of rest, listening, and renewal where each person can find the strength to continue fulfilling God's calling.

Rest, Care, and Renewal

The name Selah appears throughout the Psalms and is often associated with a pause to reflect and rest in God's presence.

That is the heart of our ministry: creating opportunities for missionaries to find refreshment, be strengthened, and continue their journey with renewed hope.

A pause along the journey.
Strength for the mission.

Beyond the Doors of Casa Selah

Our home remains open to welcome missionaries who need rest and renewed strength.

But part of this calling takes us beyond the borders of Scotland. We travel to where missionaries live and serve, walking alongside them in places that are often challenging and little known.

Every journey is an opportunity to offer care, presence, a listening ear, and encouragement to those who have dedicated their lives to the Kingdom of God.

Because no one should serve alone.

There are places where following Christ comes at a different cost.

Much of today's missionary work takes place within a region known as the 10/40 Window — a part of the world that represents some of the greatest challenges to the spread of the Gospel.

It is home to billions of people with little or no access to the Christian message, where many missionaries serve in contexts marked by isolation, instability, and restrictions on religious freedom.

Behind every mission field are real people.

Caring for them is part of the mission, too.

5.4 BILLION PEOPLE

They live in the 10/40 Window.

3.4 BILLION PEOPLE

They still have very limited access to the Gospel.

+5,900

PEOPLE

They are considered unreached.

380 MILLION CHRISTIANS

They live under some degree of persecution or discrimination because of their faith.

Behind these numbers are real people.

Missionaries, families, and ministry leaders serving every day in complex and often isolated contexts.

They are the reason we keep going.

Every trip holds stories that deserve to be told.

"We were so happy to get to know you. Through the care you have shown us, we have experienced just how deeply God cares for us. He blesses us through people like you. Our prayer is that the Lord will also use us to be a blessing to others."

"Thank you for sharing your story with us. Those two hours of conversation were worth more than many hours in seminary. Knowing that you left your home just to come and see us reminded us how deeply God cares for us."

"Heading home after my final farewell... My heart is full of emotion, but also full of gratitude to God for the friends and family I found here. Thank you for being part of the story God wrote during my time in this place."

None of these stories come to life on their own.

They exist because of people who pray, encourage, give, and walk with us along the way.

Join our community and follow along with upcoming stories, prayer requests, and mission updates.
