Trip to South Korea

What a memorable experience!

Our hearts are deeply grateful to everyone who got involved, prayed, and contributed. We are immensely grateful to our travel companions, Weber and Vania from Manhuaçu and to the  church in that city which put in so much effort, and so many other brothers and sisters who spared no effort.

We laughed and cried, talked a great deal, and also ate lots of strange and spicy foods.

We realised how little we know about that nation and other nations on that side of the world.

As Brazilians, who have not experienced wars, we realised that we cannot measure the pain, suffering, and wounds that a war leaves in people for decades.

We talk about wars and now see them on TV and on the media  about wars around the world, but they are not “personal” to us.

Here is an invitation for everyone who reads this letter to learn a bit more about the war between the Koreas that happened 75 years ago.

There are still very deep wounds, because the separation was between families. Many of these families never reunited. In every 10 families, 3 people died and one was separated.

What does this have to do with us?

Brazil is one of the few countries that has good relations with North K* and therefore has some facilities to send workers to live Christ on that side, where Christ is forgotten.

The conference we attended was called: JESUS - Our Reconciliation and our  Peace. We talked a lot about Jesus! What a wonderful theme that was!!! Reconciliation!! Peace!! It couldn’t have been better! Talking about what fills our hearts.

And what to do with all this??

Pray - definitely!

Get more informed, for course!

Getting involved with Brazilians who are already on the path. (There are Brazilians already studying the language and culture in South Korea) who need our involvement in prayer and financial support.

We made super important connections, and discovered the paths that Brazilians can take.

If you want to get involved, please get in touch and let’s continue the conversation.

Many blessings

Sandro and Gislene
